Philips w626 no wifi - on but says 'disconnected'?

I have a Philips w626 mobile phone. The wifi is not working on it (the wifi has been working previously). The wifi icon doesn't display in the status bar even though I have it on, and I can see connections, but not connect to them.
Any help appreciated.
It's not the router that's the problem, it's my phone.
