Philips TV monitor widescreen can't play games.?

Ok, I connected my TV/monitor to my PC, everything is fine, but when I try to play any game, the screen turns blue and it says to change my resolution to 1440x900. I press [Alt]+[F4] - and I go back to my desktop. My res. is already like that (1440x900). So I have no ideas what to do... P.S. I'm using Win7...
