In a child custody/visitation modification case, if the Judge/Master does not mention about bringing the child/children in to hear their part, does the custodial parent or the non-custodial parent have the right to petition the Courts to interview the children in the Judges chambers. The reason being is that on side of the litigants has stated that the other berates the other in front of the children, is always late when returning the children, refuses to allow phone calls etc. The children are old enough to be interviewed. If this is possible to petition, are there forms or how would someone petition or motion for this? I've researched around and understand that some Judges refuse to hear a child's testimony.
