I watched the alternate ending but didn't really like it. I'm glad they chose the one they have now. :)

Still need to check out the other special features....... :)

I'm just listening to the wonderful Flying song by James Newton Howard from the sound track :sigh:

I actually watched and liked this movie...

I mean I saw the cartoon and knew the ending...but I still wished...

I thought the actors were great!

I don't like our cover either. The actors look funny.

I have to say that I was a little disappointed with the DVD. Jason Issacs said that they could probably "make another movie out of the deleted scenes" (or something like that). Where are they?

But the alternate ending was great, very touching. But I'm still glad they didn't use because it would have been way too sad.

Omg, I know, Jeremy Sumpter and the girl who was Wendy, had mad chemistry as well, lol.

Hmm. I don't own either of those movies. I do like E.T. but I've never seen Stardust.

I'll always love it too. I was really impressed with the actors and how well done the characters were.

This is a great movie for the escapism factor.

You could pair with ET. Maybe Stardust which has some similar themes, especially the fairytale-like narrative. :sigh:

That's such a better cover. The one we got just looks so...cluttered and disaorganized compared to that one.

I have to agree...the kids were great actors. I really prayed they would pick well for Wendy. I was so pleased she wasn't precocious or silly. Rachel was wonderful.

Or talked too much, like in the Disney Wendy.

I'm jealous of this cover. I wish they had used it for the US release. I'm not a fan of the one we got.

Oh my goodness! I'm so glad I found this thread. I first saw this movie on Pay Per View and recorded it on an old tape. Let me tell you..I watched that movie EVERY night..sometimes twice a day for like a month. I was so obbsessed with it. And I never get that way with movies. Normally I can't watch a movie 2-3 times without getting tired of it. But this one really stuck with me and I just became enamored with it. Especially the relationship with Peter and Wendy. I never knew what the real story of Peter Pan was until I saw this movie. The Cartoon Disney version was so suger-coated and untrue to the J.M.Barrie novel. This version actually really moved me and I felt the struggle and the conflict that Peter faced.

The scene I liked the most was the fairy dance when Peter was fighting with Wendy and he asked her "What else is there?" And all you want is for them to be together so he can know..but you know he can't. It was so bittersweet.

Anyway..I think i'll always love this movie!!

Yes, it was a very well cast movie, not one of the actors didn't fit the role they got.

I'm debating watching it over the weekend or not. It would be a nice way to spend the weekend- a movie marathon, but what other kind of movies can you watch with this one?

Right. Peter will never grow, but then he'll never experience life like Wendy will.

The actings was incredible in this movie, especially for such a young cast! But they were perfectly cast, the movie really did feel like it was supposed to (an adventure) because they looked like they were having so much fun.
