Hi, I'm writing a R.A.F.T.S. (Role Audience Function Topic Strong Verb) Persuasive Essay on Ender's Game. I must write a political speech in the role of Peter Wiggin (as Hegemon) addressed to the citizens of Earth. The topic is Why Great Leaders Must Be Ruthless and Uncompromising. Now, my research is going well, and I have more than enough examples to prove this (Ender, Graff/Anderson/Rackham, Hitler, Agathocles, Cesare Borgia, any more to help?)
There are a few problems with this, though. I'm not sure what age Peter is (it's supposed to be soon after he becomes Hegemon), exactly how he became Hegemon (I know it was through peace, but it's extremely vague.), Why he would need to address it seeing how he got to power through peace, and how to start it well. Any advice, tips, information, anything? I don't want Sparknotes analysis stuff on Peter, I want straight information and answers. Pages to look in to would be nice, as well.
