Persuade parents that the HTC Desire is still worth it?

I am currently on a £10/month T-Mobile contract. I am planning on getting a new phone, and a couple of weeks ago I found the HTC Desire for £164 on a £10/month contract, and my parents were fine with me getting it. However, I've got back from holiday and now the cheapest contract is £157 for the handset and £15/month! How can I persuade them it is still worth it? They seem like they might consider it, but they aren't as easy going as before. (Clearly it is a lot more money, and I know that!)
