Personal living assistance in university for wheelchairbound student?

EDIT: By the way, I live in NE Georgia so although plausible, would be difficult living so far away from home since all of my doctors and the like are in GA, as well as my family.
I posted a question earlier asking if colleges would provide personal living assistance for persons with disabilities. After doing some research of my own I found that there are only 4 colleges in the US that offer "all out" assistance for people with disabilities. I have muscular dystrophy and have to have help with things like transferring in and out of the bed, into the shower, and pulling my pants up, etc. I'll be attending college in 2 years, so this is vital information I need. I receive social security checks monthly and will be receiving disability checks after I turn 18, so that could possibly go towards hiring a personal living assistant if need be.

I'm trying to figure out exactly what a personal living assistant does and how colleges usually react to them, like if they have to pay to live on campus or what. Thanks!
