Persistent muscle pain

About 3 months ago I had acute intestinal pain which was diagnosed as diverticulitis. During that period, I developed a pain in the muscle at the front of my right thigh, only really noticeable when putting strain on the muscle (eg. walking up stairs). Does anyone know if it's onset could be related to the intestinal problem, or what it could be caused by? Thanks
 
I've never heard of intestinal pain being related to muscle pain in your thigh.

This sounds like 2 seperate issues. Possibly you strained a muscle in your thigh.
