For about 6 months now I've had a cough that just won't go away. It's to the point that's it's disrupting my learning in school because I'm trying to hold back the cough instead of paying attention. I've been to the doctor and they've prescribed me cough syrup but it only works temporarily. I've also had a chest X-ray but it came back negative and nothing seemed to be wrong with my lungs. I haven't gone back to the doctor because I thought it would be gone by now.. The only real time that I don't have the urge to cough is when I'm in the shower for some reason. I've tried Claratin-D, Zyrtec, and Benadryl. Nothing seems to work. I've also had a cold to go along with it too if that matters.. Oh, and it's more of an itchy throat type of cough. Any help or suggestions is appreciated.
