Hi,

for past 2 or 3 weeks (don't remeraber exactly why or when it started) I have been having a soreness of my chest wall area. It's not a sharp pain, and it happens most when I stretch or "scrunch" my muscles in certain ways. Also with deep breaths, but only rarely. Until the last week I was able to make the pain almost go away by stretching my arms over my heading, and producing a kind of "click" sound in my chest (like something snapping into place). That doesn't work anymore (no more "click").

I'm a 25y/o male, do not smoke, not overweight, and in decent condition.

Any ideas? Thanks!

no it doesn't seem to really fit, since it's not tender when I touch it... at all.

Have you been lifting weights lately? or exercising? or doing sports or having to sit in the same position for a long while...etc?
Have you had a chest cold recently?

You should, however, get it checked out by your doctor since it's been continuing for 3 weeks.

Definitely keep us posted.

I haven't exercised since I noticed it. I don't think I was doing any chest exercises near when I started to notice it. Maybe about a week before.

I still do bicep exercises and ab exercises and cardio. Nothing that stresses the chest though...

It's possible that the muscles are contracting again and pressing on nerves....intercostal myalgia or intercostal neuralgia.

You could try something like Robaxacet to see if it eases the pain. It contains Tylenol and Methocarbamol. I use the Costco brand..Muscle and Back reliever.

I can relate to what you're describing....exercise I do and then stop...I pay days to a week later.

Have you seen a doctor, chiropractor, accupuncturist or physiotherapist? Maybe some will offer a suggestion. But...x-rays would be a good thing to have done.

Keep us posted.
