period at 55 ???????????

I am 55 year ols and getting cramps and bleeding again as if i had a period . i went thro menapose about 5 years ago and have not bleed since then . any idea why this could be ?
 
See your doctor immediately, this is not normal and could mean serious problems.

My sister-in-law at age 82 did this and it was uterine cancer. She did not understand why periods again at her age.
 
This could be anything from a bladder infection, to a prolapse, or even cancer.
I would urge you to get checked out by ur GP immediatly.

First of all, this may be nothing to worry about, so don't freak out. But PLEASE make an appointment and go see your gynocologist. It's better to be safe than sorry. I had the same thing happen to me and it had something to do with an old fibroid. It was nothing. But don't take a chance--go see about it! I wish you the very best of luck!
