I would appreciate if anybody who knows more than me about back problems,,,can help me. I 've had pain in the perineum mostly,,for about 3 years, sometimes the pain is ffelt rectally, sorry for being so descriptive, ofteh times the pain is in the buttocks and upper thighs and back of the uuper legs, but mostly tingling , burning and just pain in perineum, buttock, inner front and back side if thighs. I've been wondering if this pain could be coming from my back or anything else. It all started suddenly 3 years ago,, I was exercising in the gym the same day ..but the pain started about 3 hours later whrn i was home..so dont really know what caused it. Its been really 3 years from hell ,,,
Had caudal steroid injection in the sacral area,,ddidnt do much,,,just nurabed me for a couple of hours. Had 2 MRIs, nothing too obvious,,just 2 mildly bulging disks,,,says "mild diffuse bulging" at L3-4 and L5-S1. THe doctor doesnt believe too much that this mild bulge could cause me these perineal, scrotum,,rectal and buttock pains,,sometimes upper legs too. I am somewhat desperate.
Would really appreciate any comments and thoughts as to what this could be?
Also if i decided to do discogram ..does it have any negative effects,,Does it ever cause permanent complications,, can it actually make you worse on the long run?
What else other than the discogram can i do at this point to help come up with some diagnoses??
Thank you all so much.
wish you lots of health
