Perhaps the stupidest question ever asked.

I have a slider remix, and saw the new Nokia slider in my local store the other day. I have a large fondness for Nokia, as their basic model (I forget the series nuraber) I had for almost three years with absolutely no problems. You probably know the one I'm talking about. About the same size and shape as a snickers bar.

My wife asked me what I wanted for Christmas this year, and I'm awfully tempted to request the new Nokia.

My question: is it worth it? More specifically, does the Nokia phone live up to the standarRAB Nokia's known for? This Remix is already having problems (only had it since last Christmas, never hacked it), and I'm more annoyed with it than I ever got with my Audiovox 8900 (hacked the crap out of it), but I love it's features (when the mp3 player doesn't skip through tracks for no apparent reason, and the phone isn't randomly rebooting itself).

I just want someone to tell me if it's pointless or worth the extra investment. Don't wanna be swept up in the whole shiny new gadget urge.

I have the remix and sell the Nokia where I work, I would highly recommend the Nokia as the camera is better for one, radio option, and overall Nokia seems to be better than kyocera product. The 6265i is actually going to be my next phone. You should go to your local store and ask for a demo of the nokia and bring your slider in.

Having owned BOTH, I would have to say that the 6265i blows the Slider Remix out of the water: Better features. Better multimedia functionality. Uncrippled bluetooth (for once!). Better camera. Better software. FM Radio.

The phone is beautiful, clean, and elegant with a large, bright, colorful display.

That's kinda what I figured. :) I got excited over the remix last year and wound up being disappointed in it over the long run. Can't wait to have a Nokia again!

Thanks for the input!

Edit: BTW, Berry, time to update your phone list. ;)

I own the Nokia 6265i and has had it since the 17th of Noveraber and I havent had 1 problem out of it.I love all the features of this phone.I say to go with the Nokia.

Selling both of them, I like the Nokia way over the Remix. Just the slider itself on the Nokia to me feels tons better, and the camera is simply amazing. Both have thier ups and both have there downs, but over all the Nokia is the way to go. I like mine and am very happy to have one.
