Performance upgrades for 99 Dodge Ram Cummins?

I no pretty well the basics for diesel engines. just wondering what someupgrades a person can do for performance on a stock 99 doge ram diesel. nothing to crazy or exspensive whats on the market what are the basics and what all is out there. i have heard about chips, injectors intake and all these things but what advantages do they bring and how exactly do they work. thanks
