Ok I really need to piss and mone about something to make myself feel better. As some of you know, I'm in the Navy, I work on seahawks. I'm at a land based squdrin. Now for what pisses me off. We have known about the huricane since before monday, and we have 2 birds that have been down since before that. Does our command want to get those birds up-no, I've spent sunday through wensday sitting on my ass twitiling my thumbs being board. We were told yesterday that were getting a 4 day weekend, and today I got called in, and I get told that these birds are going to be up by monday. I have been at work for 12 hours and am still here. I am all about supporting the relife effort, but this is bullshit. :mad: They wont even let me go cause im not senyour enough. I HATE THIS dumb shit. Now were throughing one of the damn birds into phase, and need to get it back up by monday. I dont like sob stories, But i really need something to vent right now.

update, i've been at work for over 14 hours now, and everyone just started cleaning up. When I get off I'm getting smashed.
 
Ok here I am day 2 of my 4 day weekend and where am I? At work of corse. It ain't so bad today since the birds look like there going to be up and running soon. We have an aircraft packed with supplies standing by so it looks like there going to be going soon, when i have no idea but might be soon. I just hope we can help in some way, as i cant go.
 
I feel your pain. I use to be in VFA-136 in Oceana.... now I am on a MCM class ship. Squadrons are fucking amazing at last min screwing you over. Then again the surface Navy is good at the all round reaming you till you are bleeding and raw. So in the words of my first LPO CS1 (AW) Scruggs "Don't worry it will only get worse". He use to tell me that every day and guess what.....
 
Well the birds are up and running, and they left. Wile I feel screwed over, I cant feel too bad as it was a good cause. I hope we can help in some way.
 
ive had similar experiences at work aswell, although it was a few years back when i was a cashie, there are some dumb assed managers out there, i remember one time i went out to the back freezers to get some more supplies which we needed to cook as soon as possible, as soon as i walked into the freezer, the dumb bitch of a manager starts shouting my name, some bullshit about customers first, this got on my nerves, after about 4 atempts to get this product, with faliure due to manager, and her 'rules' i get a grilling FOR NOT COOKING THE PRODUCT and end up working out the back for the next two weeks because, i was wandering around when i was supposed to be working up the front, as you can see i had to vent something too, old grudges eh??
 
whatever you say, working for that long shows character. keep on truckin. I go to college 5am-5pm ( I live far), then go to Aikido for 4 hours (6-10) everyday.

haha you might be in the navy but I could whip your ass in unarmed combat. im 230 pounds, 6'5''.

Would you look at that, our friend Mock has learned to use Microsoft word, AND MSPaint.
He also appears able to recognize simple shapes and patterns!
