answer it instead of dodging it? I posed a philosophical question on the morality of branding pedophiles as monsters, without harsh language at all, and it was taken down. This goes to show the great esteem in which the 1st amendment is held. Why don't you NOT report my question as abusive, and instead actually think about it and answer it?
Here's the original question, as closely reproduced as I could get it from memory:
Why do people, the media, and our popular culture today brand pedophiles as freaks, monsters, and demons? Why can't anybody seem to accept that these are people too, just like everybody else, and they just so happen to have a sexual fetish that is slightly odd to other people. Is it any worse than other fetishes, like urophilia, where one derives sexual pleasure from being peed on? Or coprophilia, where one derives sexual pleasure from feces? As long as a person with the child fetish doesn't carry it into action (i.e. molest children) then what harm are they doing? Hand-drawn child pornography is illegal in this country, which is a direct violation of the first amendment. No children are harmed or abused or violated in the hand drawing of child pornography (i.e. lolicon and/or shotacon) so why should it be illegal? And why should people who derive pleasure from it be ostracized from our society as though they were freaks, monsters, not even human?
**Note that there are no ad hominem attacks in this question, no explicit sexual references, no drug references, nothing compromising the security of any individual, and I have not violated the community guidelines or the yahoo usage policy. in your anger you have completely missed the question. I was not referring specifically to child molesters, I was referring to anyone who is a pedophile. And a child fetish is NO DIFFERENT from any other fetish in anything except details. And what of these so-called "well known facts" that you keep citing? Show me some sources. Bitch.
