There was a job fair at a Peet's Coffee and Tea near my house today, there were about 40 applicants and they are only hiring about 4 to 5 baristas. I have been working at starbucks for about 3 months now and have a lot of other customer service experience.
Each person was interviewed for about 15 minutes, and I was finally the last one to be interviewed. My interview lasted only 5 minutes.
Do you think this was because I'm a "shoe-in" since I'm already a certified barista? (I was enthusiastic, friendly, and polite during the interview whereas the others were very quiet and grim looking. the others were a lot older and professionally experienced than me though )
They didn't ask me any questions that they asked others like "how would you sell this product?". They just asked me the basics (work experience, availability, ...)
Do you think i'm a "shoe-in" or have i already been rejected?
