I was at a bike path. I slowed down, glanced to the left side and didn't see the car. I rode my Pedal bike across the road when i felt the car smashed over me. I was riding on the road at the same direction where the car was going. The EMTs and the police arrived and checked up on me. I bruised my left shoulder and hip, (the next morning I found out that my right hip and neck was bruised as well). My helmet had a huge crack and graze marks. The police officer interrogated me and he said I was at fault. He gave me a 120$ ticket and I have to appear in court. Was I really at fault? And if Yes what should I do? Thier Insurance company called me and asked if i were ok.
