Don't know where to start with this because I haven't much info...But I'm concerned for my friend. He recently got involved with Children & Youth (a social service organization, for the unwitting) because there were allegations made that he smokes pot and his dad beats him. He says his dad doesn't hit him at all, but he keeps giving urine tests that show up positive for marijuana (clearly, because he hasn't stopped.)
He wants to stay where he's at, with his family. But he's afraid despite quitting marijuana, they'll still take him away. Apparently they've threatened sending him to a juvenile home, which he'd get eaten alive in. Him and I were talking, and I came up with an idea of trying to evade the organization by laying low in a different state. We're both 17 with connections that are 18+ that could help us out. It's just a temporary plan until he turns 18 in three or four months.
He's just tripping out really bad because of the situation and, undoubtedly, he's scared to death he'll end up in a juvenile home. Could this work out? Or would the authority in another state get involved too?
Please, don't lecture me about how running away from the law is bad and all that, because it's his choice ultimately. I'm not going along with him if he does go, but I still want to offer him some advice. I don't want to see the guy I consider my brother with a ruined life, because he's a great dude...He's made some mistakes and he's regretted them. Now he just wants to make amendments to make up for them and move on, by any means other than a juvenile home...
Thanks.
