pebl vs slvr vs d500 vs s710a

hey all
i am in the process of buying a new cell phone, and several dilemmas have come up, i really dont mind what brand, but i need to pick a cell phone pretty quick, as my travels are coming up kinda fast.

Motorola pebl- ive wanted this phone for a long time now, it seems pretty cool, but people who own it say it picks up fingerprints on the keypad and screen like crazy, and im pretty picky about that, so if thats the case, i dont want it

Motorola Slvr L7- I hear this phone is like a razr with no flip. Im sure it looks cool, but the razr picked up fingerprints pretty quick and this phone, with no flip, is bound to get scratched easily and fingerprinted pretty quick

Samsung D500- This is another phone i think is quite cool. it slides, has bluetooth and everything. I really want to get this phone, but im concerned about its durability, with teh slider thing, wont it get very loose and sorta just wobble around?

Sony Ericson s710a- this is also a phone ive seen around and it looks nice. I think it has everything, bluetooth mp3 player, etc. the only concern i have, is that the swivel thing wont break when my friends are using it, because they busted so much of my stuff it isnt even funny

im kinda paranoid, i realize haha, but my friends really do beat my stuff up, and i want one that could withstand a moderate to light-heavy amount of abuse.

please recommend me a very good phone from these 4 choices, that you think may suit me

thank you

you could wear gloves. the s710a is a brick in my opinion. had it, and it is too narrow to facilitate typing, so if you are a text messager, avoid it. The swivel thing gets annoying too. Dont know much about samsung, except for the fact that when I had one, the reception was horrible. The pebl is nice and understated, a bit thick, and the monochrome outer display was outdated before they even thought about making the phone. i just bought a slvr, which does pick up fingerprints, but i think it is worth it. you cant even feel the thing in your pocket and it is wide enough for large hands (though the number pad is quite cramped), you get used to it and it feels great in your hands. wireless imports included some headphones and a memory card for pretty cheap, so i was finally able to get the phone i had been dreaming about for a long time. I say slvr.

but wont the screen really get scratched up, from like normal stuff, like putting it in the pocket? i hate screens with scratches, makes it kinda hard to see because i dont hvae the best eyes. is ther like a case or screen protector? is the s710a really that bad? i find it cool you can answer the phone without flipping out the key pad, thats one of the things i like. is the slvr pretty durable stuff? or pebl better?
because i talked to this guy who said one of his customers ran over his pebl and it still worked decently, but the screen was broken, but nothing happened to teh body?
