PEBL on T-Mobile or SLVR on Cingular

I've finally narrowed it down to two phones but now I've complicated it by deciding between carriers too!

I currently have an old AT&T plan. I have a Samsung X426 which I pretty much hate and can't wait to be rid of.

I planned to jump from AT&T over to T-Mobile. I really like the PEBL but the price is a bit much for my budget. I could pull it off...but it'd be an effort.

Now the SLVR (back with Cingular) has caught my eye. It's $100 cheaper than the PEBL. Not sure which phone is better between the PEBL and SLVR plus I want to be sure that a SLVR w/Cingular will be a lot better than my X426 with AT&T.

Any words of wisdom or helpful advice? I live in the Los Angeles area if that matters. Don't travel much so I don't think T-Mobile coverage would be a problem (but tell me if I'm wrong)
 
fair enough. what don't you like about the PEBL? not arguing at all - just asking so i can make a good decision. thanks!

does anyone know which of the two has a better camera or if they're basically comparable?
 
If you are looking for a new service plan, then depending on where you are in the US, you have to be careful on coverage. When AT&T switched to Cingular in Minnesota signal strength deminished greatly. Verizon and Sprint have the best coverage nationwide that i've used.
 
I really like the looks of the L7. Its unique (well so is the pebl but I just dont like how it looks) Also the L7 has both a Mp3 Player and a Card Expansion Slot which the PEBL doesn't have so thats the REASON WHY I LIKE the L7 and not the PEBL.

coverage is such a hard thing...my company has sprint coverage for work and everyone in the los angeles region HATES sprint. i may need to take another look at verizon though.

if my contract is up 3/3 and i don't port the number and start a new contract w/a new carrier for a few weeks after that will be current account stay with the same rate plan or can they hike it up and charge me a lot more once the contract ends (if i haven't signed a new one)
