Can I be added? :flowers: I watched it before, it's really good. And I have to learn about this in my world history class.

i stole this movie from my cousin's ex-boyfriend, well i was gonna return it..but i never did and then they broke up like 6 months later and i still have it. hehehe. when i watched it for the first time, omg i loved it. and watched it again like 3 more times after the first time. lol. omg. it was great.
and uhhhh its not the same as titantic, yes its based on tragic events..but you cant really compare between, they're entirely different movies!!!

I haven't been able to watch the extended version still, but I should just watch my DVD of the theatrical release. This movie grew on me a lot since I didn't like it the first time around.

I love pearl harbor but mostley because of Josh Hartnett and I agree they did make the love story between Danny and Eveyln so real because their love felt so much more real then her love for Rafe.

When Danny died in the movie I wanted to cry so much.

I didn't like BHD much, but different strokes I guess, lol.

ANd I totally agree on what you said.. about them making the Danny/Evelyn story so believable, because in the end, it's just heartbreaking.

Yeah, Black Hawk Down is the better movie, but all mentioned actors performed well in both.

I love this movie. I just saw the whole thing a few days ago and I'm hooked on it. Which is funny because before I thought it was the worst movie. Sure it's not fantastic but it was entertaining and I liked the story.

And I love the music in it. Tennessee is so beautiful it can make you cry and There You'll Be is great, it should have won the Oscar for Best Song

I liked the action sequences and the scope of the film.

The love story was cliched in that it was a typical triangle and this is the most common criticism of this film by far... And I agree.

The Director's Cut (on DVD) is a must own because it is essentially the R-Rated version the movie should have been released as given the subject matter; it's a war movie for pete's sake.

That's right!

Titanic and Pearl Harbor were two entirely DIFFERENT movies. The only comparison, was that they're both based on tragic events. And also, as much as Rafe's and Evelyn's love story was focused. The primary focus was on Danny and Rafe's friendship. Whereas in Titanic, the main focus was Jack and Rose's love story, not Jack and Fabrizio's friendship etc...

At any rate, the acting was brilliant! I laughed, I cried (BUCKETS at the end.

) I fell in love with the characters. And if a movie is able to do that, then you know it's good.
