Pearl 8100 - Web2Go, BB Feature Enabler

As I understand it having the BB Feature Enabler and Web2Go (New T-zones) on my BB Pearl 8100 would give me access to the following:

- MMS
- T-Zones 'web access' (limited, I know)
- Yahoo search and other Web2Go features
- email - My TMobile email only?

Some folks have stated that they can use the Opera browser to get full internet access. Full web access is nice but not a requirement for me.

Now I'd really like to know if the GMail app works with Web2Go, or if I have to use the BB email app to access the TMobile My Email service. I understand that the My email service can collect my gmail mail. I don't mind using the BB mail app, just prefer the gmail app.

With my current BB Unlimited Internet package now I can tether my phone to my laptop for broadband acess if required. I would expect that with Web2Go this would no longer be possible. No big deal.

Can any TMobile reps answer the questions above? I am trying to reduce my monthly bill by removing features I do not regularly use (full web access, tethering) and keeping what I use (email and the occasional search).

Thanks in advance,

Don S.

Hey...

Your list of 4 items will work...
Tmobile email, will not work from the blackberry email client, probably from a thirdparty client or through wap.

Opera mini should work, and the bb browser should give you wap browsing...

The gmail app will probably not work without a bb data plan, I can't see any settings to change it to use the apn settings ( but I haven't tried it either, so it may work)...

The tethering should work with the proper extra initialization commands... Don't know if they'll charge you extra for it...

If gmail doesn't work, there's a third party software that gives email access... Read it somewhere, will have to find it... It may be able to use apn settings instead of bis or bes for transport...

Hope that helps...
