Okay so i have a 2005 Mazda 6 that i recently took to the dealer to get diagnosed. I have a really bad idle problem, the car wants to turn off at lights, and the check engine was on. There's been like five codes on there indicating misfire and bad o2 sensors. Well Mazda diagnosed it and told me that i have a crack in my PCV hose. To replace it would cost me about $400, and the part is like $30 bucks. Thats a lot in labor. I guess i just want to know if 400 is a justified price in some way or form. I know the dealers cost more, but i'm not going to fix it myself and really dont want to go to a regular mechanic.
Do you have to remove the intake manifold to replace the PCV hose?
Is it difficult to replace this hose?
Thanks ahead of time.
