About half the people I know have Macs and the other have PCs. So, in your opinion, do you prefer PCs or Macs? Give reasons why if you can.

well i'd get a windows based computer or a linux based computer
never mac
because linux is everything mac is, but free and more stable

A Mac runs programs intalled on it already like they are minimized and you are just maximizing them. Macs also have very good protection against viruses. However a PC is better for gaming and have a larger hard drive. Most people would be able to help you with you PC but not your Mac. Not to mention that an Apple computer costs much much more than a PC.

I dislike Macs. They are high quality computers but then there are many high quality PCs.
Mac users generally love their macs because they buy a £2000 mac and marvel at how much better it is than their old £500 PC.
Of course it is, it cost FIVE TIMES as much.
It is true that when you buy a Mac you know you are getting a quality machine but they are way way more expensive than they need to be.
To say that a PC is "better" than a mac is a very broad term. Generally when people debate this they actually mean "windows vs Mac os" (MAC OS is based on UNIX)
There are many high quality PCs out there built from solid components and I would recomend you buy one of those. If you like the no virus no spyware element of Mac OS you can install a nice friendly linux OS like ubuntu.
And to mac_fixit,
The stuff you posted makes no sense, that site ranked ubuntu HIGHER than Mac OS. Maybe you are unaware but that runs on a PC.
As for "macs run windows faster than PCs do" thats stupid. A mac is just a PC running Mac OS anyway. All the hardware in a mac is made by third parties which you can put into a PC.
Also what was the spec of these computers? The article is suitably vague? How much did this "comparable" PC cost? I guarantee a top of the line PC would wipe the floor with any MAC simply because the very latest hardware is only available on the PC platform.
