Paying for your uniform at navy boot camp?

I've seen different questions and varying answers... Some people say that you are issued a clothing allowance and you don't pay for your uniforms....Others say that about 800 dollars is taken out of your check to pay for your sea bag, is there anyone who went through navy basic and can answer this for me please
 
You are issued your seabag, which you pay for out of your first few checks. Around $500-800.You also are provided a yearly clothing allowance to keep up or replace uniforms as needed.
