Paxil Users

Hi, I take paxil 20mg for anxiety but lately its not working that good. I was wondering what is usual dose for anxiety anybody take a higher dose than 20mg. I thinking of asking my doctor if I need to go to 30mg. I also take 1mg clonazepam at night.


Let me know what your experience with paxil.
 
Most doctors will say you need 40 mg. for anxiety/panic. However, I believe that the lowest dosage of any med that works for your problem is always the way to go. So, with that in mind, if you feel 20 mg. not enought, then yes, go up to the next step.
 
I've been feeling the same way, only with Prozac. I'm also on 20 mg. I just went back up to 40 mg. 10 mg is the lowest possible dosage, so 20 mg is pretty low. Some people take 80 mg. Try going up to 40 mg and see how that works. Just remeraber it takes about a month for it to kick in.
