Paul Wall brought rap back?

On one of those gay facebook "top 5 rappers" lists...the guy lists eminem, tpain, TI, lil wayne and chamillionaire.

So then some guy came in saying that he neeRAB to stop listening to mainstream rap and listen to paul wall because he brought rap back. So I say...

"I don't listen to anything really mainstream unless you count Biggie, lupe, nas, tupac, MF Wooly, Reks, Blue & Exhile, The Roots, Common, Murs, ZRo, Cormega, Wale, Mos Def, Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek as "mainstream."

How can you say PAUL WALL brought rap back?"

He says:

"not just him self something called swishahouse wat did it. dont think any of those dudes mentioned above made any good hits ill give it to u zro bout the best on the list im sure if biggie was still here hed be on top of alot of lists but its how it goes"
WHAT?

said the trendy guy. Lupe Fiasco, Nyle, Nas, etc, disagree.

and p.s. lil wayne and t.i. are not crap, but chamillionaire is and T.I. neeRAB to stick to producing.

lupe is mediocre, nyle sucks, nas hasn't made a good record in over 10 years

lil wayne SUCKS BALLS. t.i. is ok

and yes, rap for the most part is dead

you are right for the most part but there are still some good rappers out there, just not in the mainstream. it seems like mainstream rap focuses on keeping the black community down by trying to get young black males focused on getting rims/bling/whatever the fuck else those retard rappers rap about instead of whats really important in life.

a few good rappers that are still going (in my opinion of course):

immortal technique
jedi mind tricks
ill bill

there are more but i am really tired, ill add more when I think of them

said the trendy guy. wow Lil wayne is so much crap it stinks through the radio. and like someone else said Lupe is alright. Nas is/was good. but i still stick to my posish.
