pattern locked on htc wildfire- Google accounts won't work?

I set a pattern lock on my htc wildfire and then forgot the pattern. I tried so many times to guess it but couldnt. Now It wont let me have any more guesses and says i need to put in my google accounts information. I created a google account and verified it and then tried logging onto it but it won't allow me to log in at all. What do i do? How do i unlock it?
 
you have to enter same email id which u entered previously which enter during the creation of password or which id u used on gtalk or for google mail app.
