Which past civilization (Pre-1600), whether it be the Chinese, Mayans or any of the medieval civilizations would be most open to modern technology without intense religious scrutiny (ie accusation of black magic etc etc) should a future time traveler travel past to give them technology to make their lives better?

This question came to me when I was watching a documentary on aliens who may have visited past civilizations to give them technology. A hypothetical example would be if the 10 commandments was given to Moses by aliens and not God or if aliens gave the Egyptians the plans and the tools to build the pyramids. This is a strictly NON-religious question but rather a question on the openness of the different past civilization to "god-like" technology.

well, in most past civilizations, if somebody were to have technology like that, people would assume them to be a god. and it is assumed by a lot of people that aliens told the egyptians and mayans to build pyramids, because they both have the pyramid shape, and also oddly enough both have images of odd creatures telling the people to build the pyramids painted on the insides. atleast thats what the thing on discovery channel said. it kinda makes sense though, seeing as to how the egyptians and the mayans had no way to communicate with eachother, but still came up with the pyramid shape and the creatures in the paintings.

so, im going to go ahead and say the egpytians, cause they were pretty technologically advanced in the first place, the mayans were way to devoted to their religion. with the sacrifices and blood rituals.
