Do you have a partner with cold sores?

If so, how long have you been together and did you get cold sores yourself eventually (assuming you were virus-free before)?

Did it pass on to your kids?
Please note, Cold sores ARE caused by a type of virus Herpes simplex virus (type 1 - but can also be caused by type 2).

As per wikipedia:
Herpes simplex (Ancient Greek: ????? - herpes, lit. "creeping") is a viral disease caused by both Herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) and type 2 (HSV-2). Infection with the herpes virus is categorized into one of several distinct disorders based on the site of infection. Oral herpes, the visible symptoms of which are colloquially called cold sores or fever blisters, infects the face and mouth

The first time a person is infected by the HSV-1 virus, a cold sore occurs on *most-likely* the lips. After the initial infection, the virus moves deeper into the nervous system and sleeps (stays dormant or inactive). The cold sores reoccurs due to many factors such as an imbalance in diet, stress, fatigue, weeker immune etc. Catching cold or living in colder region is not necessarily the trigger.
