now days, my siblings and i are all over 17 and very well behaved and we love our parents.
HOWEVER, when my brother was like 8 or 9 and he would accidently break a window or ruin something in the house, my dad would punish him by making him go to bed with no dinner, and he'd have to clean up the mess and do yard work. he might have also gotten a spanking depending on the damage.
it DID help, though. my brother grew up to not talk back, hit anyone or do drugs. he's a very good person and all that discipline made him a very good, hardworking man today.
BUT.......do you think my dad was out of line with his punishment???? it did work...
