But at 18, the child can work, get scholarships, take out student loans, etc. to pay for college. There are many more options, whereas for private school, they are dependent on their parents. It's not that the public schools are "bad," just that a faith-based education is important to us.
Yeah, no, we're happy with our decision. We both paid our own way though college, and will obviously help the kids in any way we can. I guess I am just more of a "cross that bridge when we come to it" type person, rather than a "ducks in a row" type person.
