How do you handle it? I work with a woman that is just ridiculously combative with everybody. Without going into the drama, I'm supposed to have a meeting with her today to discuss some things she has said and done. She seems to be unable to do anything but freak out on you if you are anything but submissive to her. How do yall handle people like that? I'm unsure of what approach I'm going to take.
Thanks for the good advice, everybody. The meeting went well, I felt in control. When she would try to justify her actions, I admitted that I wasn't as kind or respectful as I could have been. I told her I am willing to do what needs to be done and work with her, but she needs to speak to me and treat me like she would like to be treated. It seems like admitting responsibility on my part, but not trying to force the same from her worked. I also think I looked a little better to my boss. drama drama, haha.
