Parents, do you seriously live off depressing news and gossip?

Seriously, I just posted a question about some happy things and people insist on finding the gray cloud that has no silver lining. What the heck is wrong with people, should I be posted news about a 21 year old who was murdered to keep people happy?

I read the question you've posted. I read the answers but I've seriously failed to find "the gray cloud that has no silver lining". People simply have different opinions regarding this little boy. I don't live off depressing news and gossip but I do have my own view regarding different matters. There will always be a "pro and con" and although you felt you wanted to share this with us, from the moment you want to share, you have to be ready to accept other people's point of view.

P.S. I am happy for that child and I hope, he can make a difference and remain humble about it.

Of course not. I think people tend to view that kind of story as slightly sad due to the high numbers of depression in highly intelligent people. Take it for what it is, hope that they boy has friends and that's that.

Some people have nothing better to do than to run their mouths off on the internet to make people feel bad.

No, I don't live of depressing news and certainly not gossip. Gossip should stay in the toilet where it belongs.

oh please! real life is bad enough. let's keep this site happy.

i think some people just like the image of doom because it is more exciting. or maybe they just don't like other people to be happy because they aren't. misery loves company, after all.
