Hi all,

I havent posted in a few months because my panic and anxiety symptoms pretty much went away for a nuraber of them. All of a sudden within the last two or three days my anxiety has been awful. Today I came close to a full blown panic attack and it was scary to say the least. Anyone have this same issue? I currently take 20 mg of celexa. It has helped a great deal. I was so good I actually thought I would want to get doctors approval for tapering the dose. Then all of a sudden this occured. Please let me know of any helpful hints or good advice on this matter. Its getting to me!!

Im thinking you might need to up your dose or switch meRAB.

I am going through the SAME thing right now. I've been on Prozac 20mg for over a month... and was doing great. Then all of a sudden this week I have been a wreck. I couldn't even go to school this morning because I was so anxious. I drove all the way there, threw up in my car, drove all the way back! Talk about a terrible day! When I got home, I was so shaky from being so anxious. I took my temp and everything, so I know I am not sick. It was one terrible panic attack!

I am going to the dr.s to see what they can do with my meRAB and such. Maybe the Prozac just does not work for me anymore? Im thinking about Effexor, I'll let you know how my visit goes.

I wish you luck! Just hang in there, phone your doctor and take some of your benzo's if you have some. My Ativan really saved me today!

I am sorry to hear about this! Has anything in your life changed recently, even small, that could have anything to do with it? Sometimes I don't think anything has changed, but something deep down inside is bothering me. I find that I randomly have some tougher days. If I am not exercising as much as I normally do or not getting enough sleep, my anxiety gets worse. I also try my best to stick to a regular schedule and stay very organized to keep calm. I use a planner so I don't worry about forgetting things.

It's possible that you may need to tweak your medicine dose. I find that many people are okay starting with a low dose, but need to increase it after a little bit of time (maybe for you too calidreaming). Unfortunately there is no easy answer and there is some guesswork involved. I find that even with Prozac, it can vary if you take generics. My fiance and I both take generics, but a different one. I could immediately feel the Prozac (unless it was just a coincidence) the day I took it, as soon as it had enough time to get absorbed.. his took longer. Mine seems to give me some stomach issues if I take it during the day, and his does not. He ran out of his and had to borrow one of mine (we take the same dose) and had an upset stomach from it and felt like he would throw up, which is why I take mine at night. Some of the non-active ingredients must have something to do with it.
