Okay well 2 weeks ago i woke up and ate very little and went straight to my friends and started smoking hookah, we did that for about 2 hours and i felt light headed(like always). But when going to my friends my light headedness didnt stop and when i got up i was super dizzy. I then walked into the bathroom and when walking out i had a ringing in my ears and passed out for about 10 seconds. After that my friends mother got me water and i realized the only thing i drank all day was a glass of milk and soda so my first thought was dehydration. The rest of the night my head was pounding and i was throwing up. Well the next day i was fine and since then i have been really really scared of the fact that i blacked out and i feel that somthing is wrong with me. I have been feeling as if im having a hard time breathing, dizzy, and i cant even sleep well. My blood pressure was 140/77 last week as well when i was having a panic attack. I have been checking up on my blood pressure and it is back to normal but am i just having panic attacks or could it be somthing worse? Im fairly healthy and am active on a daily basis(6'0 170 pounds) I would go to the doctors but do not have insurance. Sorry for the long story, hope it makes sense lol. Thank you.

You lost me at hookah. Is that a euphemism for marijuana? If it is, my first panic attack was brought on by smoking marijuana. It was a doozy, too. Landed me in the hospital and the ER docs thought I was having a heart attack. In any case, it doesn't sound much like a panic attack to me but the symptoms can vary. To me it sounds more like an adverse reaction or possibly even an overdose. If you were smoking tobacco the nicotine in the tobacco could OD you. Nicotine is a poison.

sorry i was writing really fast, it was just tobacco. Its just ever since i have passed out ive been worrying and it gets hard to breathe, feels like im having a heart attack, and it feels like my pulse is racing. But when im calm everything seems okay. Then again whenever i do somthing physical my vision seems to blur and i have a harder time breathing..idk what it could possibly be

It does sound like a panic attack. They are very scary. I'm sorry you have no insurance and cannot see a doctor because they should rule out other things, and if it is panic they could give you meds to help. My only suggestions for dealing with it on your own is - first, remember to breathe. One of the first things that happens in a panic attack is you either start holding your breath or you start taking shallow breaths. Take deep breaths when you feel panicky. It can help override part of the panic attack. Distract yourself if you can. Sometimes I'll take a walk, or call someone on the phone. There are some OTC anxiety meds you can try...there is a homeopathic one called "Calms" and there is also Valerian. To my knowledge Calms has no side effects. Valerian can, with some people, have side effects.
