Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ38 worth buying? Any better recommendations?

Im planning on buying a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ38, from what I have read it is a pretty good camera, it has everything I want from a good 12mp, hd video and from what I have read, good reviews. I was thinking of the p90 camera but it had got some bad reviews. Anyone got any better recommendations or any input about this camera? Thanks.
 
Try reading reviews online, my friend has a panasonic lumix but i think it`s a new model and it takes pretty nifty pictures.

Research, research, research before buying a camera.
