panasonic camcorder message?

I deleted a load of stuff in a file in the SD then put it back into the camcorder, and then got a message to 'check disk' .
i've deleted the file as well now. the file was created today by the camcorder i think, and only had film it it i didn't want.

check what?
I can't restore the file ... so what do i do?
