At school we have to take photos for a project and i have most of them. the only photo i dont have is the creating action/pan action photo were the back is blurry and the object moving is in focus. Now we dont have class till monday and thats when it is due. I dont have a fancy camera i have a Fugifilm FinPix F480 nd my mom has a canon but its like the fuji i have.

so my question is how do i take a photo like that. its aways a stop action photo. i dont know how to make it a pan photo and no photoshop please, that would be cheating.

thanks so much

The idea is that you take the picture at a relatively slow shutter speed - say 1/60 or even 1/30 of a second. You keep the camera focused on the moving object, so it stays relatively in blur-free because the camera and the object are moving at the same speed. The background, however, is stationary, so it is blurred.

Experiment with different shutter speeds. I mentioned 1/60 and 1/30 but also try 1/15 and 1/125, just to see what happens.

Good luck!
