Palmone Wi-Fi Card

Hi again,
I have another quiry for the memebers of the forum, I recently purchased a PalmOne Wi-Fi card and it works great, my question is sometimes when trying to copy files from my local area network I get the message that I can only copy to a card. I see that some wi-fi cards have a built in memory card but will not work on the T3 is there a way round this as I do not think you can remove the wi-fi card and insert a sd card in the middle of the process (or am I wrong ?)
thanks

Correct, you cannot swap SD cards while in the middle of a WiFi session. I assume you are trying to copy a non Palm format file when this happens. Due to Palm file sytem, you can only copy non-Palm files types to an SD card. This is a limitation of using an SD Palm WiFi card and there is no workaround. That's one reason I refuse to buy a PDA that doesn't have built in WiFi.

Thanks for the reply it is as I suspected, looks like I will have to transfer my video files manually in my card reader/writer

there is away around this problem. Theres a third party software (for palm) that allows you to creat a "FAKE" sc card using your RAM. It asks haw much u want the size to be(must be less than free ram) then it appears and acts like an SD card you can store files or whatever you want on it whith out one. It is shareware but its like a 30 day triel... you can always bypass trials to reset time really easly. Softstick makes it i dont know the name off hand but it seems you couls save whatever to the SD(RAM) then transfer to your SD card....
