Palmer's Cocoa Butter and Tazorac

Is Palmer's Cocoa Butter and Tazorac a good corabination in the night because I wash my face with noxema daily exfoliating cleanser, then apply cocoa butter to it as an emollient. About an hour later I apply a dime size portion of tazorac to my face but I haven't seen any great improvements with that corabination. Should I continue to use these products or should I try something new?
