Okay, here is the problem: I have two PDAs a Dell Axim x50 and Palm T|X. I love both PDAs equally, but being as expensive as they are, it's not viable for me to keep both of them.

I love T|X because it's the latest Palm PDA with amazing specs. However, it doesn't have Flash Macromedia support, Exchange server cannot be configured directly to recieve emails, and I can't log onto Microsoft Terminal Server using the client. However, T|X has a BEAUTIFUL screen, amazing programs (best at what it does) and has awesome specs. here they are:

Palm OS? Garnet 5.4
128MB w/ 100MB accessible to user
Intel 312 MHz ARM-based processor
320 x 480 transflective TFT touchscreen display
Support for over 65,000 colors
Landscape and portrait orientation modes
Wi-Fi 802.11b wireless technology
Bluetooth? 1.1 wireless technology
Speaker
Standard 3.5mm stereo headhphone jack
Support for MultiMediaCard, SD & SDIO cards

Dell is good for IE, Terminal Server, and other good stuff. Here are the specs:

64 MB RAM and 128 MB ROM
Intel 520 MHzXscale
Windows Mobile 5.0
3.5 in TFT active matrix - 240 x 320 resolution
IrDA, Bluetooth, IEEE 802.11b
Microphone input, Speaker and headphone jack
SD, SIDO and CF card support

Help please

Which makes you smile when you're using it?
Which one crashes the least?
Forget stats & bulleted specsheets/brochures - Which do you use the most for "real world" stuff? We're all aware of the "stats." They don't really matter. "Rise above the equipment," and analyze what your NEEDS are.

Honest answers to those 3 questions should give you the "knee jerk" decision - go with your gut. There are too many paramenters and possible personal uses for anyone to subjectively "advise" you; I'd personally take Palm because of some Palm-specific apps; if you don't use those, Axim is a heck of a good PPC, and would be my choice if I dumped Palm.

By the way, your question may be "moot," because I suspect you won't get much for either unit sold "used," especially the TX. Why did you buy two of them before considering this question?

I had the same decision (Axim x51v and T|X) and I decided to go on the Palm side. The Axim is probably the best console ever released, but God unfortunatelly gave it Windows Mobile... poor Dell.

I have decided to go with Axim. I love T|X much more than the Axim because of the beautiful display and simplistic design. However, I am on my school network about 8 hours a day which has 802.1x PEAP encryption. Unfortunately, Palm doesn't support this type of encryption.

Axim also gives me the ability to stay connected to the Exchange server, so that's another plus.

T|X on the other hand is great when it comes to multimedia applications and the software available for it.
