Palm Pre SPC

I am also interested to hear if you were able to obtain data access successfully. If so, can you tell us generally if the procedure is anything like modding a Sprint PPC 6800 or 6900? I want to get the Palm Pre but I want to make sure I can successfully get the data settings adjusted for another carrier. I also understand that you can bypass activation with a software tool. However, according to some users at MF, Sprint (or Palm) has implemented a data provisioning check to make sure you are using Sprint's servers. Users also believe that this is a localized software check that could potentially be bypassed through NV edits or some other software modification. Did you have to do this or did you not have any problems with the data provisioning checker? Thanks!

asking fot the method to get data working is not going to help you

go to the thread on m-f and read the discussion there...there are many people working hard on it and doing many great things, but none have it yet...the people that do have it def worked too hard to pass it along

also- look into the wikidot page

does this work on the palm pro? Like I know the address will probably differ, but I'm having heck with the pro and this sounds better than all the other issues out there for the pro.

thanks wit!
One more question:
I put the pixi in usb mode but when i try to install beezle latest drivers it always says they are incorrect. is that because i need to root it first?

Once you put it in DM mode, after rooting, then the 2 new device installs will be installed manually using the drivers that have been posted.

It works perfect, but bare in mind, in order for you to get the phone out of DM mode again to use the usb mass storage device, you will need to have the Access code password. You can find the generator online.

The other way around that is use the installer for modem mode that can be found using Quick Install. You will need to install that before putting the phone in DM mode

oK guys i am trying to find my spc, i have tried 0x00A50000-0x00A60000 using cdmaws universal ram method. But i keep getting (failed phone does not answer) What am i doing wrong? Ok i figured it out, i had a DOS command open on the same port

you need to change your com ports. Once you have changed them to com 1 and com 2, then delete the modem and port. Re-Install, then redo your ports.

The reason for this is that you need to free up com1 and 2 before QXDM or other programs can read on them. Why... Well, its Microsoft for ya... Ya don't like it, go to Unix :buddies:

Any who, once you free up the ports, then put the modem and port back on Com1 and 2, you should be fine
