palm pixi questions and reviews?

i have the lg vu and its driving me insane! i hate it! i was looking at the palm pixi becuase i love touch screens not pressure touched. but i also love keyboards. so far good reviews but i want to know if it would still be as good without a data plan? i cant afford to have internet...so yeah. thank yoouuuu
