Does anyone know where to find the actual photo files that viewed in the Palm Desktop application? I suspect it's some sort of default location, but I haven't a clue where.

Hey Andy - I'll look around. You might try search for file name.

I know SplashPhoto kept a copy in your USER folder under "Splash;" that's the reason I got rid of it and went to AcidImage - if you deleted those files, thye were deleted from your handheld at next hotsync. I saw no reason to keep them on file on the PC if they were backed up and on the T3.

I'm assuming you're referring to the Palm built in Photo app; unfortunately I deleted that with JackSprat so they may be gone from my PC too, but I'll look. I remember the 3 "default photos" were stored in the Palm folder and I'll retrace my steps and try to find them -- I know I deleted them.

Just checked "Components" and "Image LIbrary" within the Palm folder, but they're bitmaps of desktop functions and three palm apps for "image stream," etc. No sign of the photos themselves now - as I said, I deleted 'em!

X:\Program Files\Palm Desktop Dir\Device Name\Photos

For me it is

Z:\Program Files\palmOne\T3\Photos

However, they are in pdb format. One of my gripes is I cannt get my pictures off my palm without a card reader. Palm Desktop makes them these pdb files that only palm desktop can read. If I didn't have a card reader for my camera and an SD card, then I wouldn't be able to view any of my pictures taken with my cell phone camera on the PC.

Thanks PTL and crash, managed to find it. And as crash noted, the files are in pdb. format, though I've found that I can copy and paste files as needed. Still, it is an unfortunate inconvience.
