PALM OS to LINUX conversion

Converting from PALM OS to Linux (and back)

Anybody knows if this is possible ? Links are welcome.

hp hw6515 died in 21 days(worst thing i've ever bought) - Palm Tungsten T3(current since hp died) - palm Vx(died)

Having used all three (a Zaurus, a PocketPC, and a Palm), I think that PalmOS is what it needs to be, simple, straightforward, and low-maintenance, with plenty of available software to put the icing on the cake.
The others required more technical knowledge to get everything working properly, and there was a distinct lack of excellent software available at a reasonable price for either of them. :/

This is not possible at the moment as the linux based platform is not out there in use, yet. I'm not certain that it will ever be possible nor desireable. What would be the point of having this be possible? I doubt that any software developer is going to focus on making a program work on two platforms with one purchased liscense let alone 3 platforms.

And besides - Microsoft would never endorse a machine that was able to run all 3 OS's.

There have been rumors that the new Linux version of Palm OS will be able to run most current Palm applications, as well as Linux applications.

Also, with the release of the Treo 700W, Windows Mobile is able to run on Palm devices. There is already a commercial emulator program for Windows Mobile that will let Palm applications run on a Windows Mobile machine.

My conclusion is that the technology exists to have multiple operating systems. However, I don't think most handhelds have enough memory to have more than one OS installed at any given time. Also, if there are several OS's running at the same time, it would slow the handheld down.
