Palm OS Proxy Settings

Hello all,

I have two Palm PDA's, an M505 and a Tungsten T2. On both of these (preferably the T2) I would like to be able to connect to the internet via my phone but using GPRS. The way I do it on my iPAQ is like this:

Dial up number: *99***1# - (the number 1 tells the phone to dial the first data account in its list)

Gateway (IP) address : 193.113.200.195
Username : o2wap (contract) / payandgo (PAYG)
Password: password
Port number: 9201

I can enter all this into Windows Mobile in the connections section but in the Palm I can only enter the following:

Dial up number: *99***1#
Username : o2wap (contract) / payandgo (PAYG)
Password: password

I need to be able to enter the gateway and the port number or the GPRS connection fails. I have checked the options in Palm OS 4.1 and 5.2 and cannot find a way to do it. On the iPAQ I just select the proxy server tick box and enter the server and port number.

Is there anything like this within Palm OS?

Help is very much appriciated.

While I don't know your settings, I do know you can configure the proxy server settings inside of web browser programs such as Palm Web Pro. Inside of Web Pro, do the following:

1.tap menu-->Options-->Preferences
-->Advanced.

2. Tick the box next to Use proxy server:.
3. Tap the rectangle below "Use proxy server:".
4. In the Proxy Server popup window, enter your Proxy and the port.
5. Tap OK.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply but I dont have the latest version of Web Pro so mine does not have the option for the proxy server. I noticed in the script settings for the connections there are options "GPRS1" to "GPRS10", can they be configured for something?

Also, because this may not work, are there any wireless SD cards that work with the T2, the palmOne wireless SD cards I have seen all say T3/T5 only?
