people who know Middle East history? So I am wondering if anyone here who is an expert on middle eastern history can fill me in on their opinions/a survey of what is going on in Palestine/Israel right now. So here we go, there is two ways of looking at the Palestinian/Israeli conflict. 1: religiously: if I'm not mistaking I believe it says in the Bible that God promised the Jews this land or something like that? Can anyone elaborate on this? 2: history wise: after WW2 the United States and Britain with the United Nations voted to separate the land and etc. my question is to you guys to most people look at this conflict from a religious standpoint by which I mean a never ending battle, that this land is destined to be fought over forever. Or do most people look at this conflict as nothing more than history, by which I mean people feeling sorry for the Jews after the Holocaust.
