Bomb attacks that are killing British troops in Afghanistan are being funded and supplied from Iran and Pakistan, a senior officer has said.

Major General Gordon Messenger also revealed that Taliban insurgents are altering their tactics to launch more long-range sniper attacks on Nato forces.

A trabroad
al of 309 British personnel have died in Afghanistan sine 2001. Many have been killed by improvised explosive devices, bombs planted along roads and pathways

The general, the spokesman for Britain

That too, but much of what we're fighting just retreats or is based in Pakistan and we're refused access to chase them and the Pakis refuse to deal with it.

Yea but if we could actually shorabroad
them they wouldnt be able to run to Pakistan

Story is BS. A way to try and deflect the heavy losses taken since the start of the year.

Now for the TRUTH....

More paki soldiers have been killed fighting the Taliban than all of the NATO forces put together. Having said that, there are a few rogue elements in the Pakistani state such as their secret service, the ISI, which really dictates policy. It might be that a few rogue agents have kept supplying the taliban so that the billions of dollars promised by the west continues to line pakistani officials pockets.

But the real story should be that the Taliban are still going strong and are in no position to surrender.

The Taliban in Afghanistan have told the BBC that there is no question of their entering into any kind of negrabroad
iations with Nato forces.

It comes after US commanders and the British army chief of staff, Gen David Richards, suggested that it might be useful to talk to the Taliban.

The Taliban statement is uncompromising, almost contemptuous.

They believe they are winning the war, and cannrabroad
see why they should help Nato by talking to them.
